How to use cheats on nintendont

I only recently learned that Super Mario Sunshine contains a test level, but I’m stumped as to how to use cheats on nintendont in order to access it. Well guys, if you have been tired of searching why nintendont cheats not working then we will help you so you can use the codes without any issue.

As per one of the reddit user, In order to use the cheat codes, you will need to download a file called kenobiwii.bin and place it in the sneek folder on the device where your games are stored. The location of the sneek folder is as follows: SD:/sneek/kenobiwii.bin and USB:/sneek/kenobiwii.bin

Create a file with your cheat codes using the approach of your choice (USBloader, online, etc.) The next step is to save your newly generated.gct file to one of the directories that Nintendont searches. It is possible for it to be found in the same location as your “game.iso” file, or it might be in a subfolder that is titled after the GameID6 of the game.

  • /games/Your current game path/game.gct OR
  • /games/Your current game path/GameID6.gct OR
  • /games/GameID6/GameID6.gct OR
  • /codes/GameID6.gct

For example, /games/Zelda/game.gct or /codes/GZLP01.gct.

Launch the game after you have ensured that the cheat option has been enabled in the Nintendont settings.

You don’t have to care about where to put the cheats, as the loader is managing everything : download cheat list, gct generation, copying to correct device when launching the game and it warn you if you need kenobi file but can’t find it.

Here are some combinations of code and game placements that work and don’t work (given above Nintendont settings) as tested by me. Note that game title can be whatever you want, while gameID needs to be specific for the game, while everything else has to be as it is stated.

Works

  • SD:/games/<game title> <gameID>/game.gct (or <gameID>.gct)
  • SD:/games/<game title> <gameID>/game.iso

Works

  • USB:/games/<game title> <gameID>/game.gct (or <gameID>.gct)
  • USB:/games/<game title> <gameID>/game.iso

Works

  • SD:/codes/<gameID>.gct
  • SD:/games/<game title> <gameID>/game.iso

Works

  • USB:/codes/<gameID>.gct
  • USB:/games/<game title> <gameID>/game.iso

Didn’t work:

  • SD:/codes/<gameID>.gct
  • USB:/games/<game title> <gameID>/game.iso
